EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — An Olympia man is suing the City of Everett over public access to surveillance videos of bikini baristas engaging in illegal activity.

The Daily Herald reports Arthur West asked a judge on Wednesday to find the city in violation of the state’s public records act for not providing him copies of the videos.

The videos were part of a 2013 investigation into public corruption and prostitution at bikini espresso stands in Everett and other areas of Snohomish and King counties. Two women who admitted they operated the stands as brothels were eventually convicted in the case.

The FBI has said it would prefer if the videos it helped gather weren’t released.

The city is worried that the videos, which show sexually explicit material, will end up on the Internet.
