A Maple Valley homeowner shot and killed a man and wounded a woman he said were breaking into his property.
King County Sheriff’s Sgt. Cindi West says the man called 911 about 4:00 a.m. Friday to report he heard people and banging noises. He called back to say he shot two people.
Deputies arrived to find a dead man and wounded woman, who was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
West says she had been shot once with a handgun.
