After the Citizen Advisory Committee voiced concerns with this hike, the state Transportation Commission began discussions on whether or not to reconsider the increase, .
The nine-member Tacoma Narrows Bridge Citizen Advisory Committee, which is a governor-appointed group composed of permanent residents of the bridge area, is required by law to make toll-rate recommendations to the State Transportation Commission.
The Tacoma committee will submit a proposal in hopes of stopping the toll increase, but at the end of the day, the state Transportation Commission has the final say on the toll price.
