Driving around Seattle and over the passes could be a pain this weekend with some major routes closed.
Two lanes of Highway 99 into Seattle, between Mercer and the Aurora Bridge, will be shut down Friday night starting at 8 p.m. The lanes will reopen by Monday at 6 a.m.
On I-90, the westbound lanes between Rainier Avenue South and Bellevue Way will be detoured to the express lanes. That will start Friday night at 11 p.m. I-90 will reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.

Up in the Cascades, I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass will be shut down Friday night starting at 11:30 p.m. for snow removal near milepost 58. Eastbound traffic will be stopped at milepost 56 near Gold Creek and westbound traffic will be stopped at milepost 70 near Easton.
Crews have worked to reduce avalanche danger on Snoqualmie and Stevens passes since more winter weather brought another big snow dump this week.
