A fatal crash caused the two left lanes on southbound SR 525 to be blocked off at milepost 1, close to the I-5 and I-405 interchanges in Lynnwood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

The lanes have since reopened, as of 7:30 a.m.

Washington State Patrol (WSP) troopers have confirmed that one person has died.

Despite the lanes clearing up, drivers and commuters traveling through this stretch should anticipate delays and are urged to drive carefully.
