Are you the person everyone calls for a ride to the airport? Now it will be easier to convince your friends to take a light-rail train to Sea-Tac Airport from Westlake.
Starting Monday, light-rail trains will run every six minutes at peak times, instead of every 7.5 minutes. Peak hours are 6-8:30 a.m. and 3-6:30 p.m.
Sound Transit says the increase is an effort to prepare for the surge of students, staff, and other riders who are expected when the University of Washington and Capitol Hill stations open in the first quarter of 2016. (But it helps us “airport friends” too.)
The trains will run every 10 minutes during non-peak times.
