Olympia is giving away free parking for the holidays

Dec 11, 2015, 12:02 AM | Updated: May 8, 2016, 12:04 am

Happy Holidays from the city of Olympia!

Through Dec. 24, the city is giving shoppers the gift of free parking.

Yes. You read that right: FREE.

Of course the goal is to entice you to head into downtown Olympia and shop local.

The meters in Olympia are color coded, so if you want to park for free, make sure you are in a purple or green zone. The city of Olympia might be playing Santa, but the time limit still applies. So don’t stay longer than the time on your meter.

And if free parking isn’t enough to entice you to drive to Olympia, worry not. If you are looking for other holiday activities to get you into the spirit, use our holiday map.
