Six teenagers were arrested in Auburn after they beat a man at a bus stop in the Lea Hill neighborhood while attempting to break into a car.
The group, whose ages ranged from 12 to 17 years old, was seen wearing ski masks and tampering with a woman鈥檚 car at an apartment complex in the 31900 block of 124th Avenue Southeast just after 2 p.m. Monday, according to the Auburn Police Department.
Then, just minutes later, officers saw three of them assaulting a man at a bus stop. They stole his belongings and boarded a King County Metro bus. Officers stopped the bus and took all six into custody.
The victim, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, had his stolen items recovered.
“Three male suspects were arrested for robbery in the first degree,” the Auburn Police Department stated in a post on social media. “Three females involved in the earlier vehicle prowl were detained, and one was booked on an unrelated felony warrant. The other two were released to a parent. The juveniles were transported to King County Juvenile Detention Center.”
Several of the suspects had prior criminal history, the Auburn Police Department confirmed.
