23-year-old driver hits, kills 60-year-old pedestrian in Seattle’s South Park area

A 60-year-old man died after he was struck by a car in Seattle鈥檚 South Park neighborhood Thursday night.
The man was crossing the intersection of 14th Ave. S and S Henderson St. at approximately 11 p.m. when a 23-year-old driver hit him. The driver stayed at the scene. As he cooperated with police, officers found no signs of impairment.
“When (officers) arrived, they found the man with serious injuries,” the stated. “Despite life-saving efforts by Seattle Fire Department medics, the man died at the scene.”
Police officers secured the crime scene while detectives with the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) began to process the scene.
