When an FBI SWAT team executed a warrant for multiple suspects accused of a violent robbery and theft of military weapons in Lacey, they discovered numerous firearms, grenade launchers, and explosives surrounded by Nazi paraphenelia throughout the residence.
The warrant “resulted in the seizure of short barrel rifles, an MG42 machine gun, grenade launchers, explosives, body armor, ammunition, and ballistic helmets surrounded by Nazi paraphernalia,” Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders posted. “Multiple rifles were staged at windows throughout the residence.”
Thirty-five firearms were seized in total.
According to Sanders, the 37mm launchers can be used to fire gas, concussion, chemical, smoke, or homemade explosive rounds.
Two suspects were booked into Thurston County Jail on firearm-related offenses, with additional federal charges likely to be filed.
“Despite requests to set bail at only $5,000, Superior Court granted the Prosecutor鈥檚 request and set bail at $500,000 each,” Sanders stated in a post on Facebook.
It is currently unknown if any intended violent plans from the suspects were recovered at the residence.
