Fatal overnight shooting in Seattle’s First Hill leaves one dead

A shooting broke out early Wednesday morning in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood, with one man dead at the scene, according to responding homicide detectives with the Seattle Police Department (SPD).
After receiving reports of a shooting, SPD officers responded to an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Seneca Street shortly before 2 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a 40-year-old man inside one of the units suffering from gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were attempted on scene until Seattle Fire Department (SFD) personnel arrived and pronounced the shooting victim dead before they could transport him to a local hospital.

The suspect fled the scene shortly after the shooting. No arrests have been made regarding this shooting, as of this reporting.
