Tacoma Police Department (TPD) officers found a suspect hiding amongst the fowl Wednesday.

Law enforcement was looking for a suspect connected to a recent crime, including a nearby arson, in the 3600 block of Portland Avenue.

Officers were searching the area when residents flagged them down and reported a man running through their yards.

Tacoma K9 Odin tracks suspect to chicken coop

K9 Odin was able to track the suspect’s trail to a backyard chicken coop.

“Turns out, Odin鈥檚 tracking skills work just fine in barnyards, too,” TPD wrote on .

The suspect was taken into custody, and deputies stated the chickens were a little confused but unharmed.
