The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide after a teenage suspect allegedly stabbed and killed his mother’s boyfriend.
Detectives with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office said the violent incident occurred at Coventry Court Apartments on the 1000 block of 76th Street Court E. in Tacoma. The mother and her boyfriend, 23, were allegedly having a dispute at approximately 1:45 a.m. when the teenage son, 16, got involved and stabbed the boyfriend multiple times.
“There hadn’t been a prior call for a domestic disturbance prior to that stabbing,” Pierce County Deputy Carly Cappetto told ³ÉÈËXÕ¾ Newsradio. “The noise level, it’s not uncommon to have domestic disputes, so I think for a lot of people, unfortunately, if they would have heard anything, they probably would have just brushed it off as normal.”
