It’s close enough to Christmas that instead of today’s commentary, I thought I’d just play a classic track from my holiday album. This one is dedicated to everyone who finds that even without the usual Christmas parties, you’re still eating way too much holiday food.
Oh I love all the things
That this joyous season brings
The fireside is warm, the sleigh bells ring.
But the cookies and the pies
They’ve meandered to my thighs
And I’m feeling fine except for one small thing.
Help me zip my jeans — oh, how can it be – that they
Fit fine this morning, or was that just a dream?
And then my eyes met yours
Across a tray of petit fours
We shared a lemon cheesecake tenderly
Then we kissed the night away
Between bites of crème brulee
‘Cause how much cheesecake do we really need?
Help me zip my jeans –
Tryin’ hard to breathe –
But there’s more tiramisu
And it’s calling to me.
