The January 6 Committee last night laid out the case that Donald Trump was not just a sore loser, but that he was willing to let his own vice president die to keep himself in office.
That’s pretty serious.
And you may be asking, can we believe these witnesses?
I noticed that Fox News didn’t carry the hearing because they considered it a fabrication. Their headline was, “Committee credibility collapses.” So let’s see who testified the two main witnesses were Sarah Matthews, a former Deputy Press Secretary at the Trump White House.
“I am a lifelong Republican, and I joined the Trump reelection campaign in June of 2019,” Matthews said in the hearing.
The other featured witness was Matthew Pottinger, who served in the Marines and was a national security official.
“I felt then as I do now that it was a privilege to serve in the White House. I’m also very proud of President Trump’s foreign policy accomplishments, peace agreements between Israel and three Arab states. That’d be those are some examples of the types of policies that I think made our country safer,”
So hardly Trump haters.

As for the committee members asking the questions yesterday, there was Republican Adam Kinzinger, an Air Force pilot who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and Democrat Elaine Luria, who served as a naval officer for 20 years and operated nuclear reactors.
And the two witnesses, both Trump supporters, after seeing their boss’s conduct on January 6, said they could not in good conscience continue in their jobs and therefore resigned.
They testified they saw a president who sympathized with rioters over police officers, who refuse to call for help, and who refused to order a retreat. Even as Mike Pence, his secret service detail was sending out messages saying goodbye to their loved ones, because they thought that they and the vice president might be killed.
Now, I’m only reporting what I heard last night, but all these people were under oath. So if any of you has any proof they were crisis actors or deep fakes, please let me know.
While I’m at it, if anybody listening still thinks there was vote fraud beyond the 475 questionable votes discovered by the Associated Press, either present your proof, or please abstained from voting.
Why would I say that to vote, you have to affirm that you filled out your registration form, truthfully, you know about citizenship, your address, stuff like that. And people who are okay with spreading lies can hardly be trusted to file a truthful registration.
For them to vote, to have a role in choosing our leaders … that would be voter fraud.
