Democrats are organizing an impeachment trial designed to show that democracy was brought to the brink of extinction by a mob of Trump-drunk rebels whose only agenda was destruction.

The strategy appears to be if you can鈥檛 convict Trump in the Senate, you can at least convict the mob on TV.

But if that鈥檚 the plan, then I think it鈥檚 only fair that the mob get a chance to testify.

I, for one, want to hear what their plan was for America once they overturned the election. How about some sworn testimony from the guy who was dressed like he鈥檇 just escaped from an Opera company? Let鈥檚 find out what HIS beef was. That his freedom was being stolen? He was wearing HORNS. He was free 鈥� they were ALL free 鈥� to assemble unmasked, to set up gallows, to chant “Hang Mike Pence,” 鈥� they only got in trouble when they physically attacked the same Constitution they tell us to worship.

And now, because of them, the Capitol is fenced off from the rest of us too.

So I want to hear from them. I want to hear about their respect for the police, their belief in personal responsibility. I want to hear what they鈥檝e learned by following the alphabet鈥檚 weirdest letter.

Maybe they have ideas on how to get the vaccine out, or how to rescue the economy. Or safely open school. Prevent landslides and wildfires.

Could 鈥淨鈥� at least do something about the Grape Nuts shortage?
