Talk show host Dennis Prager decided to put it all on the line to prove he鈥檚 right about vaccines.
He that he would deliberately try to infect himself with COVID to show that natural immunity is better than a vaccine.
“I have hugged thousands of strangers at rallies, I have posed for photos with strangers in the thousands at speeches, and finally, I got it from somebody,” he described.
He tested positive last week, but never had a fever above 99 degrees, although he did have chills.
“Which was uncomfortable, teeth chattering, etcetera, but that was pretty much it,” he said.
So now he is in quarantine, doing his show from home, and says he is taking the same drugs that he has been recommending to his audience. He knows this is a risk at age 73, but he goes into it with his eyes wide open.
“I am not young,” he noted. “I am in a category of people who should be most concerned, theoretically, and I am concerned and that’s why I’m taking all these therapeutics.鈥
Those therapeutics include ivermectin, as well as “the Regeneron and the monoclonal injection.”
It’s around $2,000 per infusion. He has not changed his mind. He still believes the vaccine is unnecessary. But, and this is an important but: “But if you have co-morbidities over a certain age and you are not prepared to take the therapeutics, you should consider taking the vaccine.鈥
So he acknowledged the vaccine is also a legitimate choice, and he鈥檒l probably be fine. And as bad as COVID is, 98.4% of the people who’ve gotten it in the United States have survived.
Dennis Prager has already written the headline for his story:
“Talk show host who is not inoculated gets COVID and is fine.”
My headline is 鈥湷扇薠站-FM host who hopes never to get COVID got his booster shot yesterday and is also fine. Dave doesn鈥檛 need to be quarantined, and his treatment is costing the government about one-twentieth of what Mr. Prager鈥檚 treatment is costing the government.”
And may we both live long and prosper.
