Next month, the Pentagon is going to report to the Senate .

Only they call them UAPs – Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.

This is happening because some former pilots and Pentagon investigators were tired of the military covering up all this video of weird encounters between pilots and objects that did not obey the laws of physics.

On , Luis Elizondo, a former Pentagon official who once had the job of cataloguing this stuff, said that these things pop up all the time.

He’s one of those who deliberately leaked unclassified videos to make it clear that the pilots were not making this stuff up. So, at the insistence of Senator Marco Rubio, the Defense department has agreed to finally disclose what it knows.

Here’s my question: Are we ready?

Or more specifically, are we ready to hear that an alien civilization has us under surveillance?

I’ll say it right now: I am!

Once upon a time, I would have considered that terrifying. Now I think that for these UFOs to be actual aliens is actually the best option.

Consider the alternatives: If it turns out that it’s actually China or Russia who’ve conquered gravity, not only is America done for, it means all this stuff about us being the world’s most creative nation was a fantasy, and we’re actually the world’s dumbest nation. How humiliating would that be?

The other alternative is that some private corporation has gone rogue. If you saw Elon Musk hosting SNL, you know it’s completely possible – and we’ll wake up one day to find out that every government is a wholly owned subsidiary of Earth, limited, and voting won’t be necessary because governments will henceforth steer themselves. That’s truly terrifying.

Of course, there’s a third option, which is that the government, seeing how it’s the weird stuff that gets the most hits on the internet, has decided just to embrace UFO theory, so we’ll never catch on that these are all black ops stuff that the CIA has been playing with for years.

Personally, I hope it’s actual aliens, because they would probably respect us as indigenous people and treat us fairly.
