Planned on taking the kids to Disneyland in June? Spring break in Mexico? With travel bans changing daily and airlines scrambling to mitigate losses, it’s hard to know.

CBS Travel Editor told ³ÉÈËXÕ¾ Radio’s Gee and Ursula Show he’s encouraging travelers to wait, don’t cancel just yet.

Grand Princess passengers from Marysville detail life in 81 sq-ft quarantine

“It’s a very fluid situation,” he said. “Airlines are changing their refund and waiver policies on an almost daily basis, and they’re becoming more and more lenient as the days go on. … As long as your ticket’s not for tomorrow, I would wait and see how the situation evolves.”

Greenberg knows Americans will travel again, but admits it will take some time for people to readdress the idea of flights and other trips, especially international.

“Our DNA doesn’t make us just want to travel,” he said. “We need to travel. We don’t do very well staying at home for long periods of time, so we’re probably going to have to tough it out for the next six weeks. … [Once the situation improves,] then we’ll return to travel, and first thing we’ll do is come back to domestic travel.”
