Edmonds to crowd-source traffic calming solutions

If you live in Edmonds and have concerns about drivers speeding in your neighborhood, about it. Edmonds has allocated $35,000 to address residents鈥 speeding concerns and reduce cut-through traffic on streets through its Traffic Calming Program.

The only catch is, you have to fill out and submit the necessary paperwork yourself. are required: a 鈥淐itizen Action Request鈥 and a 鈥淣eighborhood Petition Form.鈥 The petition must include signatures from eight different neighborhood households.
After the deadline on February 9, 2018, the city will choose and prioritize qualifying projects. In the past, the Traffic Calming Program speed radar feedback signs, signage, and pavement markings. According to the city, alternative speeding solutions will also be considered.

- Standing on the street and screaming into a bullhorn around the clock
- A slyly parked
