Seattle figures have been likened to a lot of characters on the national stage. Councilmember Kshama Sawant, for example, has been said to be the Donald Trump of Seattle.

And now…

鈥淲hat Michael Avenatti is to Donald Trump is what Lincoln Beauregard is to the Seattle City Council,鈥� said 成人X站 Nights Host Gee Scott.

鈥淟incoln Beauregard is back in the spotlight and he鈥檚 here to stay.”

After his, Beauregard challenged Seattle leadership again, suing the City Council for the way it handled the head tax repeal. He alleges council members violated the Open Public Meetings Act. And that’s not all. Beauregard purports that there is a shadow city hall where council members make policy away from public view. That’s not how Beauregard operates, however. He often conducts his cases in the public and the media.

Avenatti has also placed himself in the spotlight, on a national scale. After he ground up the Tully’s Coffee business (it no longer exists), he evolved into a celebrity attorney, representing porn star Stormy Daniels in a lawsuit against President Donald Trump. The exposure has earned him spots on talk shows and news media, leading to 听补苍诲 tabloid-level scandals.

Beauregard’s local celebrity is not quite as sizzling, but it is provocative. Most recently, he has promised to run for a city council seat if no decent candidate steps up. Until that happens, he is organizing a PAC to support a council candidate, among other plans.

鈥淚 will openly admit that I am mostly fanning the flames, but there is always the possibility that I run if no satisfactory candidate steps up,鈥� Beauregard said this week.

But he doesn’t prefer to run, further saying 鈥淚 would have to give up my law practice, which I love. And I would have to advocate from the council podium versus my must less-restricted role as a loose cannon trial lawyer on a mission to make this city a great place to live.鈥�

That doesn’t mean he won’t be influential in politics.

鈥淗e called himself a loose cannon 鈥� do I think that he woke up and said 鈥楳an, I really want to be a part of Seattle City Council?鈥� No,鈥� Gee said. 鈥淭he same way I don鈥檛 think Michael Avenatti truly wants to be president of the United States. However, it鈥檚 a way for him to stay in the news.”

鈥淟incoln Beauregard is not the same, but he can see the blueprint and be like, 鈥楽eattle City Council, ya鈥檒l are scared of me. I know secrets鈥�” he said. 鈥�….I鈥檓 quite sure whoever the candidate who would be the best person to run, they are going to tap Lincoln on the shoulder and say 鈥楬ey, Lincoln, can you help me out with my campaign?鈥� He鈥檒l say 鈥渟ure!鈥� That鈥檚 the Michael Avenatti approach. And Michael Avenatti might call himself a 鈥榣oose cannon.鈥欌��
