The party of Reagan no more

There are two men who are treated like deities in the Republican party. The first is Abraham Lincoln, who is generally considered the greatest president of all time.
The other is Ronald Reagan. He is constantly quoted and his words are treated as doctrine. Donald Trump spoke often about the greatness that was the Reagan presidency.

Except, it seems, when it comes to immigration. Trump, despite his overwhelming reverence for Mr. Reagan, is crafting policies that directly defy the ideas of the Gipper. Mr. Trump, with an announcement made via Attorney General Jeff Sessions, has decided to upheave the lives of 800,000 people on American soil by suspending the DACA program put into place by President Barack Obama.
It鈥檚 the second time in as many weeks that millions of Americans have seen their futures drastically change.
And President Reagan would be outraged.
Watch:

鈥淚 believe in the idea of amnesty for illegal aliens,鈥 Reagan said.
Wow.
Not just dreamers, but amnesty for everyone here making a positive contribution to society. So, why is it those who profess the most love for Reagan the least like him?
The Republicans of the 1980s were compassionate to the plight of those looking to build a better life. That鈥檚 not the case any longer. It hasn鈥檛 been for a long time.
So how can the GOP still claim to be the party of Reagan?
