Cal Raleigh and Honey Bucket announced a partnership Friday on social media, linking the “Big Dumper” with the household name port-a-potty service.
While some think the brand fits, 成人X站 host Gee Scott was not supportive.
“Cal Raleigh is bigger than the name, the Big Dumper. I love Cal, I think he is great for Seattle, but I’m thinking big picture,” Gee said on “The Gee and Ursula Show” on 成人X站 Newsradio. “If I were his publicist, I would get rid of the Big Dumper name. I don’t mean to be disrespectful to Honey Bucket, but I would not have my client do a Honey Bucket ad.”
Gee believes Raleigh’s “Big Dumper” nickname could be holding back Seattle’s star catcher from turning into a nationwide superstar.
“I think Cal Raleigh is a star. He is a star. I can’t stand the name Big Dumper for him,” Gee said. “I thought the Honey Bucket ad was so unexpected, and let me say the quiet part out loud, nothing against Honey Bucket, but Cal should be a mega star. I want him to be a bigger brand.”
成人X站 host Ursula Reutin said while the name doesn’t bother her, others agree with Gee.
“I want to mention, do I like the Big Dumper nickname? I’ve said I don’t have an issue with it. I think that it helped make Cal more of a household name,” Ursula said. “But his record right now should be standalone. I don’t think the name is holding him back, but I think there are enough people, even on our text line, who do think that it’s not a good look.”

“Honey Bucket is a big company, and Cal is okay with the nickname; his mom is not a big fan, but everyone knows the name, how do you put that toothpaste back in the tube?” 成人X站 host Ursula Reutin said.
In the MLB off-season, the Mariners brought back their fan-favorite commercials featuring star players from the upcoming season’s roster. One of the commercials included the “Big Dumper Trucking” service, as a play on both Cal’s nickname and the use of a dump truck.
“Do you think LeBron James would ever do a Honey Bucket ad? Cal should be with a top brand. I want to see Cal in Subway commercials, he should be in State Farm commercials, I want to see him in that category,” Gee said.
Various high-profile athletes have appeared in a State Farm commercial over the years, and the addition of these public figures has contributed to the perception that athletes who reach an agreement with State Farm have unlocked a new level of superstardom. Notable athletes partnered with State Farm include Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, and Chris Paul.
