A daring new documentary from the Seattle-based Discovery Institute will explore growing extremist environmentalist movement aimed at eradicating humanity – and how it is becoming mainstream.

David Boze will host a screening of “The War on Humans” documentary at Northwest University in Kirkland on Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Boze welcomed Discovery Institute bioethicist Wesley J. Smith to talk about “The War on Humans.” Smith told Boze about a rising tide of eco-radicals who are convincing the mainstream, including the United Nations, that humanity is a “scourge of the Earth.”

“It’s a very dangerous idea to self-define yourself as vermin,” Smith said. “And I’m afraid that’s entering into mainstream environmental advocacy.”

Smith described recent “nature ordinances” enacted in cities around the U.S. that grant rights to plants and wild animals. He also talked about a mock trial that occurred in Britain where CEOs were found guilty of “ecocide” – the murder of the environment.

Smith said the U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has embraced the elevation of “nature rights” to a level with inter-human crimes like genocide.

Expanding energy exploration, “that’s considered akin to genocide?” Boze asked.

“It’s akin to Auschwitz,” in the UN’s view, Smith said.
“Terrifying, absolutely bizarre,” Boze said.

“This is the kind of thing that comes from the top down. On Main Street, people will say, ‘Oh please.’ You go to the universities, the highest level of technocracy at the UN; this is what they want. Not only because it will implement what they want, but because it gives them control,” Smith said.
