Washington State senators passed a bill that expedites pardons or clemency for criminal illegal immigrants so that they can continue to live illegally in the United States and avoid deportation. It’s a bill that truly highlights the shameless and shocking agenda of Washington Democrats. Its fate now rests with the House.
Senate Bill 5103, sponsored by Senator Bob Hasegawa, D-Seattle, fast-tracks petitions to the clemency and pardons board for those with pending deportation orders. It intentionally — and likely illegally — interferes with federal immigration enforcement.
鈥淭his provides an expedited pathway to make sure that they don鈥檛 face deportation when ICE (Immigration Customs Enforcement) comes knocking on their door,” Hasegawa said, proudly fighting to keep dangerous criminals in the state.
Proponents argue that this legislation provides a necessary lifeline for illegal immigrants who have served their sentences and are reintegrating into society. Senator Bob Hasegawa (D-Seattle) stated, “I think it鈥檚 just the right thing to do. These are Americans who have paid their dues to society.”
Except, they’re literally聽苍辞迟听Americans. They’re in this country illegally聽补苍诲听flaunting our laws, creating victims out of American citizens who otherwise wouldn’t have become victims had the criminal illegal immigrant not unlawfully crossed into our country.

Washington Democrats fight to keep dangerous felons in this country illegally
The passage of SB 5103 is a glaring example of the Democratic Party’s willingness to compromise public safety for the sake of performative wokeness and an open border. It also shows you just how little regard they have for the people they’re supposed to serve.
Hasegawa says his bill has a “lot of potential to save families and lives” and notes that Washington has always been a “welcoming state.” These are statements from a deeply unserious, painfully ignorant man who should do the right thing and finally retire.
By facilitating the release of convicted criminals back into our communities, Democrats are prioritizing the rights of offenders over the safety and well-being of law-abiding Washingtonians. Since when does protecting criminals facilitate saving families and lives? And while Democrats may want to welcome child sex offenders, bank robbers and drunk drivers into the state, normal Washingtonians most certainly do not.

Why should illegal immigrants get special treatment on clemency?
The mere fact that the criminal is an illegal immigrant won’t just get them preferential treatment as far as the timing of their parole or clemency hearing; it will almost assuredly guarantee them a pardon or clemency 产别肠补耻蝉别听they’re illegal immigrants, regardless of their crime.
Open border Democrats make no distinction between an illegal immigrant who otherwise abides by the law, contributes to their community, and is hard working, and one that chooses to violate our laws by robbing, assaulting, raping, or murdering. Do they really not see the difference? It would be great if Seattle’s left-wing media could ask Hasegawa or other open-border Democrats since these lawmakers are too cowardly to talk to conservative media.
What message does this send to illegal immigrants? Come here illegally, commit crimes, and we’ll聽蝉迟颈濒濒听protect you from deportation.

Why are Democrats聽谤别补濒濒测听doing this?
Helping illegal immigrants be granted clemency is the kind of legislation that is so outrageous, it’s worth questioning the motives of Hasegawa and his fellow Democrats. He claims it’s about “equal justice under the law,” indicating we can add basic concepts of the criminal justice system to the long list of concepts and institutions he doesn’t understand.
Is there a criminal they聽飞辞苍’迟听support? It doesn’t appear so. This same caucus introduced legislation to lessen the penalties of child sex perverts caught in online stings as they try to meet children for sex.
Equally troubling is the conspicuous silence from local, left-wing media outlets regarding the potential dangers posed by this legislation. They’re too busy carrying water for Democrats to call them out.
Senate Bill 5103 epitomizes an approach that favors convicted criminals — in this case, facing deportation — over the safety and security of our communities. And they’ll keep getting away with it so long as voters keep rewarding the bad behavior.
