The Seattle Seahawks should sign the man who expertly tackled a protester who assaulted a sheriff’s deputy at a violent Los Angeles protest Thursday night.
An unidentified man was filmed hurling a can at a deputy during another left-wing meltdown over immigration enforcement. But before Antifa could hand him a participation trophy, another protester鈥攃learly not part of the 鈥渄efund the police鈥 crowd鈥攃ame out of nowhere and leveled the guy. I mean, it was a textbook tackle. If Devon Witherspoon had done it, ESPN would be running it on loop. It would be a “play of the week” nominee.
And guess what? The form was pure Seahawks. He could help take the team to the Super Bowl this season.
The Seahawks should sign this dude.

Seahawks can make it to the Super Bowl with Los Angeles protester
The Seahawks perfected their 鈥渟houlder leverage tackling鈥 technique鈥攏o headshots, no hip-drops, just pure power.
“There’s a shoulder tackling technique that we have emphasized for a number of years now,” former Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said in 2016. “You can teach it before you ever have any pads on, before you’re ever hitting anybody.”
Defenders are coached to 鈥渒eep their heads up and lead with the shoulder,鈥 wrapping through the opponent’s thighs or midsection. This guy in Los Angeles? Nailed it. Chin up, eyes on target, shoulder in tight, full wrap and drive. Someone send Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald the tape!
Honestly, this was the most productive thing to come out of a progressive rally in years. While others were busy defending criminal illegal immigrants ordered by an immigration judge to be deported, this guy was out here laying the foundation for a 2025 Super Bowl run.
Hey Mike, get him in camp! Just make sure he leaves the rest of the protest behind.
