After the assassination attempt against President Donald Trump, John said his wife donated to Trump’s 2024 re-election campaign. Now, he said someone is putting up signs in his neighborhood calling them out.

Flyers were posted in his neighborhood and on the community mailbox reading, “Your neighbor is a proud Trump donor.” John’s wife’s name and their address are listed at the bottom of the flyer. John explained in an exclusive interview on “The Jason Rantz Show” on KTTH that the intent of the flyers is clearly meant to generate anger or harassment at him and his wife.

“I didn’t think that it was meant as a term of endearment,” he explained sarcastically.

How did John discover the flyers intended to harass him?

John said he first noticed the flyers as he was walking to the mailbox. When he got closer, he saw his wife had been targeted.

“I thought that was kind of odd, and I went on the other side of the mailbox, there’s the same thing on the other side,” John told “The Jason Rantz Show” on KTTH. “I got a little curious, so I walked down the street. It had been put on another mailbox just about 100 yards south of us. Then, later in the day, I found that our neighbors had noticed one a block away on the next street over, and they took it off.”

Political contributions are publicly disclosed and can be accessed through databases maintained by organizations like the Federal Election Commission. That came as a shock to John and his wife, who thought political contributions are confidential.

John says his wife is “a little concerned that something else might happen because of this, but she’s doing okay. She’s just mostly baffled, I think, more than anything else.”

Who did it?

John doesn’t think neighbors are responsible for the flyers. In fact, the neighbor that was aware of the flyer was sympathetic, and he’s had no issues with neighbors. He said they rarely talk politics.

Instead, he suspects it’s outside activist groups who are doing this. It’s what prompted him to come forward and tell “The Jason Rantz Show” on KTTH about what happened.

He doesn’t know if the person responsible will act again. He knows this isn’t illegal, so he just hopes that it doesn’t escalate to that level.

“It seems to be just a kind of progressive dysfunction spectrum where this is kind of a low level,” in comparison to attacks on Tesla vehicles, dealerships, and drivers, he said.

What happens next?

While he’s not overly concerned that this could escalate into more direct and threatening harassment, he and his wife are on alert.

“It did cross my mind. Just that someone might take the next step, maybe more aggressively than just posting something in the neighborhood, but that’s the thing. You don’t know what the next step is going to be. So that uncertainty tends to create a little apprehension,” John explained.
