2 girls hit by car on Rainier Avenue in South Seattle

Two 10-year-old girls were hit by a car in South Seattle near the Rainier Beach Community Center Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened on Rainier Avenue and Henderson Street around 1:30 p.m. Both girls were rushed to Harborview Medical Center. The one girl is in critical condition, and the other is in serious condition.

that the two girls were in a crosswalk when the incident happened. An adult female driver with a child in her car struck the two girls. That driver remained at the scene and spoke with Seattle police.
The intersection was blocked over the afternoon while an investigation was underway.
