That person died at the scene and has yet to be identified. Police said they do not have any information on a possible suspect and no arrests have been made. They asked anyone who may have seen what happened to call the APD Tip Line at 253-288-7403.

Approximately 35 minutes later, officers responded to another hit-and-run near the corner of Peasley Canyon Road and West Valley Highway South.

According to APD, a woman hit and killed a 34-year-old man on a motorcycle. She was taken into custody a short time later after police found her car. Authorities suspect she had been drinking, and she now faces felony charges.

Roads in the areas were closed during the investigations, and no other injuries were reported.

Neither the motorcyclist nor the woman has been identified.
