Some people who live in the Snoqualmie valley felt a small earthquake early Friday morning.
The quake measured 2.8 on the Richter scale and was recorded at 3:01 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time.
“We haven’t heard any reports of any damage and probably won’t receive any,” said geologist Randy Baldwin with the U.S. Geological Survey in Golden, CO. “(It’s a) fairly typical quake for this area.”
The earthquake was just less than one mile in depth.
“That’s considered a shallow quake,” said Baldwin.
The quake was felt from Redmond to Snohomish to Cottage Lake.
