Airplane crash in Bothell injures two after ‘complete engine failure’

First responders were called to the scene of a plane crash in Bothell Tuesday evening after their engine experienced what investigators are describing as a complete engine failure.
The plane attempted to make an emergency landing but hit a high-tension power line on its way down.
When Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue arrived at 10:20 p.m. at Southeast 228th Street, just south of 45th Avenue Southeast near Miner鈥檚 Corner, they found the experimental plane, along with its three passengers, two people and a dog, injured but alive.
An experimental aircraft crashed on 228th south of 45th Ave tonight near Canyon Park around 10:20 PM. Details are limited at this time. Two patients are being treated and transported. Expect emergency crews on scene for some time. No PIO on scene.

They are expected to recover from the minor injuries sustained in the crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration will be at the scene on Wednesday morning to investigate.
