New Amazon Fresh grocery store opens in Seattle’s Central District

Amazon is opening a new in Seattle’s Central District on South Jackson Street.
It’s the second Amazon Fresh store to open in Washington and the 17th in the country.
鈥淲e鈥檙e thrilled to bring the first Amazon Fresh grocery store in Seattle to the Central District, providing customers with a wide selection of low-priced, high-quality fresh foods and a convenient in-store shopping experience,鈥 said David Nielson, regional manager of Amazon Fresh grocery stores. 鈥淲e鈥檙e proud that this store has brought hundreds of great jobs to the area and we are committed to continuing to contribute positively to the community.鈥
Amazon Go Grocery launches in Seattle’s Capitol Hill with no cashiers
Amazon says the store provides both traditional checkouts and the “Amazon Dash Cart,” which allows shoppers to ring up their items as they place them in the cart and skip the checkout line. There’s also free, same-day pick up available for Prime members.
Customers will find an assortment of national and local brands, including Beecher鈥檚 Handmade Cheese, Macrina Bakery, and Snoqualmie Gourmet Ice Cream.
The store will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
