Amazon to add more than 100,000 full-time jobs in 18 months

Amazon says it will create 100,000 full-time, full-benefit jobs across the U.S. in just 18 months.

The jobs will be for all skill levels with many of the roles in new fulfillment centers planned for Texas, California, Florida and New Jersey, 成人X站 Radio reports.

The hiring would bring one of the country鈥檚 biggest employers from 180,000 employees to more than 280,000 by mid-2018.

鈥淢any of the roles will be in new fulfillment centers that have been announced over the past several months and are currently under construction in Texas, California, Florida, New Jersey and many other states across the country,” according to the release. “In addition to direct job creation, Amazon businesses like Marketplace and Amazon Flex will continue to create hundreds of thousands of jobs for people across the U.S. who want the flexibility to start their own business, work part-time or set their own schedule.鈥

Over the past five years, Amazon created more than 150,000 jobs in the country, according to the company. Amazon has more than 40,000 employees at corporate offices and fulfillment centers in Washington.
