A Boeing 747 has landed without incident at Paine Field after declaring an emergency that prompted emergency crews to scramble Tuesday afternoon.
The Atlas Air 747-400 Dreamlifter cargo plane had departed the Snohomish County Airport in Everett for Japan. The jet was forced to dump fuel and circle the Puget Sound for over an hour before landing.
The crew had reported a hydraulic problem and made a pass over the tower to confirm the landing gear was down before landing safely.
