Deputies are searching for the person who fired a high powered gun at a four-plex in SeaTac Tuesday night.
A bullet hit a young man as he was playing video games inside one of the units. The bullet went through several walls and a laundry room before entering the apartment where the man was hit in the back.
“It certainly had enough power to make it through a number of walls,” says King County Sheriff’s Sergeant Cindi West. “We’re definitely considering it’s some type of high-powered weapon.”
West says there were a number of shots fired into the units and authorities do not believe it was random.
“We’re still trying to get to the bottom of what exactly led up to the shooting.”
There were five or six people inside the four-plex at the time of the shooting. West says, “It’s actually lucky that only one person was shot.”
The young man shot reportedly does not live at the residence. He was visiting at the time, playing video games with some of the other occupants of the home.
He was taken to Harborview Medical Center and is expected to recover.
