Twin toddlers rescued from 3 alarm Everett fire

Fire crews responded to a 3-alarm apartment fire in Everett and rescued two toddlers from inside.
The that a state fire marshal in the area noticed smoke from the blaze and investigated. He found a first-floor apartment on fire at the Olin Fields Apartments at 10115 Holly Drive around 1 p.m. A mother living in the apartment had briefly stepped out; her twin 2-year-old girls were still inside. The fire marshal went to notify people in the building to escape.
Crews with the Everett Fire Department, as well as from Shoreline and Marysville responded to the scene. The twin girls were rescued and transported to Harborview Medical Center to be treated for smoke inhalation.
One firefighter at the scene suffered a minor hand injury.
