Family races to stop Seattle kidnapping suspect

A family attending a fundraising event near Seattle Center Sunday chased down a kidnapping suspect.
Police detective Mark Jamieson says a guy tried to snatch a 4-year-old boy who was holding his grandmother’s hand while watching Komen Race for the Cure at
“Family members confronted the man, immediately told him to let go, the suspect did and then he took off running,” said Jamieson.
The child’s father and uncle chased after the guy and an officer on traffic control a few blocks away, at 4th and Cedar, arrested a 35-year-old man. He’s jailed on investigation of kidnapping.
Police were not able to confirm reports that the same guy tried to grab another child that morning.
