Fire strikes vacant building in South Seattle for the second time in a month

For the second time in a month, the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) responded to a blaze at a vacant building in South Seattle. The latest incident occurred early Wednesday morning.
Firefighters arrived at the scene on the 2400 block of S. Walker St. around 2:15 a.m. according to X. The battalion chief on site informed  that the area is well-known to the department and noted significant homeless activity outside the building upon their arrival.
Firefighters are on scene for a fire in a vacant building in the 2400 block of S. Walker St. Please avoid the area.

According to a report on X, the fire was brought under control by 2:40 a.m. and fully extinguished by 3:15 a.m. No injuries were reported.
