Heavy rain does its damage to the morning commute to Seattle

The heaviest rain Tuesday morning may have passed before the bulk of drivers hit the road, but it did its damage.

Drivers heading north on I-5 from Pierce County had the worst of it, thanks to a rollover crash north of SR 516 that cleared just before 7 a.m.

成人X站 Radio’s Chris Sullivan reports was at least a 13-mile backup in the northbound lanes of I-5 that extended from Fife up to Kent. The backup was caused by a previous rollover on southbound I-5 near . The rollover was causing a distraction for drivers, Sullivan says.

Sullivan says the majority of frequently traveled roadways were seeing 10-minute delays no matter what.

“Some cases worse than that,” he said.
