A high-risk stop by the Washington State Patrol slowed northbound I-5 traffic south of I-90 Monday morning.
Troopers stopped a stolen vehicle and arrested the suspects, according to WSP spokesman Chris Webb. The vehicle was pulled over at approximately 8:30 a.m.
“A lot of times during a high-risk stop, we’ll close lanes of traffic because we’re concerned about the worst-of-the-worst happening,” said Webb.
Because the vehicle was stopped on the left side of I-5, all lanes remained closed so troopers could move it to the right, according to Webb.
By 9 a.m., all lanes were reopened, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
