Three lanes of southbound I-5 were closed Monday between N.E. 145th to N.E. 130th streets in Seattle due to buckled concrete. Further north in Shoreline, the Washington State Department of Transportation said two center lanes of northbound I-5 were also blocked near NE 195th St. for the same reason.
It took WSDOT crews the better part of the evening commute to return the freeway to normal.
Another panel on I-5 in Shoreline also buckled, this time near 155th on northbound I-5.
We have some updates for NB I-5 travelers.
First, we have crews near NE 155th St as there is another panel that needs to be repaired.
Second, work continues between NE 175th St and NE 185th to fix those panels. There's also another panel in that area that needs to be fixed.
