Update 5/4 11 a.m.:

The fire has been extinguished as the business, in Grapeview, reopened Thursday.

Central Mason Fire’s Norma Brock said crews worked into Wednesday night and struggled with the toxic flames.

“The fire spread to about 40 vehicles and several hundred tires,” Brock told 成人X站 Newsradio. “The fire spread also included about 3,500 gallons of waste fuel, which is gas diesel oil.”

One employee at All West Coast Auto Wrecking was reportedly burned and overcome by smoke when trying to put the fire out. After being airlifted from the scene Wednesday, he is expected to be released from the hospital this afternoon.

According to Central Mason Fire, there is still no clear idea of how the fire started.

Original Story:

A pile of tires caught on fire at a commercial building in Grapeview in central Mason County south of Bremerton Wednesday, leading to seven 500-gallon drums of oil also catching on fire near State Route 3 and Anthony Road, according to State Patrol.

A person has been airlifted to be treated for smoke inhalation from the fire.

成人X站-7 TV reported the tire fire at a junkyard had spread to the building. State Route 3 and other roads in the area were shut down during the incident.

“We were told this is in a junk car lot,” 成人X站 7’s Elle Thomas reported. “No word on a cause, no reported injuries at this point. Crews are asking you to use caution if you are traveling through this area.”
