A 57-year-old man was arrested Thursday for allegedly assaulting a man while yelling racial slurs.
Officers responded to a fight in the 500 block of 3rd Avenue around 10 p.m. When they arrived they spoke to a man who said the suspect attacked him while using racial slurs.
The victim told officers the suspect slammed him against a bus and was “throwing punches.”
The victim believes he was targeted because of his race, according to police.
The suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail on investigation of malicious harassment.
