Deputies have found the body of a man who crashed his car into his ex wife’s Kent home before firing shots throughout house.
King County Sergeant Cindi West said the man drove his car at a high speed through a window next to the front door. He then got out of his car, shooting a gun and looking for his ex-wife.
The family was sleeping at the time, according to West. “You can imagine hearing the loud noise and the finding out he’s in (the house) shooting is pretty terrifying,” she said.
West said two teens were able to escape through a window but their mother was shot in the hand.
Deputies were involved in a high speed chase with the suspect but lost him.
Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies found the man’s truck in Sultan. They discovered the body of a man nearby who appears to have died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
West says the couple have apparently been divorced for some time and it’s unknown what prompted the attack.
