A 22-year-old man is in critical condition after he was stabbed during a brawl in the University District Thursday morning.

The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police are searching for a white female in her 20s who reportedly fled the scene with a three-legged pit bull, according to the Seattle Police Department. The woman is between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall. She was seen wearing an oversized olive green jacket.

Witnesses reported seeing a fight near around 12:15 a.m., after a group of intoxicated men confronted a man and a woman on the street.

During the fight, a man in the larger group reportedly shoved the woman and threatened to sexually assault her. The woman pulled a knife from her coat and attempted to stab the man; missing her intended target and stabbing the 22-year-old in the chest, according to the police department.
