Two men who robbed a Marysville tool shop and hit an armed customer with their car as they drove away have been arrested. But now, police are looking for two customers who shot at the escaping thieves.

Police say the two men stole four nail guns worth $400 each from the Coastal Farm and Ranch store on Saturday.
A man in the parking lot tried to stop the men from driving away and had his gun out, pointing to the ground. The suspects hit him with their car as they took off. That man is okay.
As the suspects drove off, two other armed civilians shot the car’s two tires, causing them to go flat. The thieves were arrested down the road, but the two men who fired their guns didn’t stay to talk to officers.
Marysville police are now asking them to come forward to help them with this investigation. It’s unclear if they’ll face any charges, because police don’t know the exact circumstances of the shooting, or if they legally owned their guns.
“If you’re a lawful citizen and you’re carrying a firearm legally, and for whatever reason you choose to use your weapon to engage someone for whatever you perceive the right reason to be, then you’re obligated to stay and talk to the authorities,” Marysville Police Commander Mark Thomas told ³ÉÈËXÕ¾ Radio.
More than anything, Marysville police simply want to have all the facts in hand.
“Any time anybody’s firing a weapon, lawfully or not, in a public place, especially a crowded public retail parking lot a few days before Christmas, it’s going to draw the interest of law enforcement,” said Thomas. “[It’s] a matter that we’re gravely concerned about; we want to get to the bottom of it.”
