Plans call for 360 apartments with ground floor retail and enough parking for 290 vehicles, according to city documents. Interior and exterior recreational facilities would also be included at the fourth level, according to the project proposal. Above that will be a total of 38 apartment levels.
Instead of being completely built on site, modular tower units are assembled, shipped and pieced together.
Designed by CollinsWoerman and affiliate Sustainable Living Innovations, the project would follow another modular created by CollinsWoerman in the University District. The 24-unit, six-story 47 + 7 building at 4558 Seventh Avenue was honored at the People’s Choice Urban Design Awards. That project took less than a year to complete, according to the Sustainable Living Innovations . The U-District project broke ground Aug. 4, 2014 and was finished April 1, 2015.
The city held an early design guidance meeting for the 1800 Terry project Tuesday.
