Two people injured in the shooting

Responding officers found a man who had been shot in the leg. The victim was then taken to Harborview Medical Center. A second victim from the shooting was sent to Swedish Hospital in First Hill after suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower back.

Two people were detained at the scene for questioning. SPD also recovered a gun used in the shooting.

An 18-year-old and a 16-year-old were arrested for two counts of first-degree assault.

This is the second violent incident that occurred outside of a nightclub in less than a week. On May 4, two people were stabbed after an altercation outside a nightclub. SPD stated the incidents are not related.
