Firefighters save tangled owl at Bradley Lake Park

On Saturday, Pierce County firefighters from Truck 72 rescued a barn owl they found trapped in fishing line 30 feet up in a tree at Bradley Lake Park.
Using a 35-foot ladder and a net, first responders captured the bird and carefully removed the fishing line. The owl was then transferred to Featherhaven Rehabilitation Center, where it is now recovering.

Officials are reminding the public to properly dispose of fishing materials to help protect local wildlife.
