A man with a drug habit is believed to be responsible for 18 armed robberies in Tacoma since December.
Pierce County Sheriff’s Detective Ed Troyer says the man hits convenience stores, sometimes twice a day.
“We don’t know if this person could be hitting drug houses, doing shoplifts,” said Troyer. “But to have 18 armed robberies in that short period of time is somebody who is making their living off criminal behavior.”
The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s, about 6-feet tall with a heavy build.
Tacoma/Pierce County Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and charges.
